Ballot papers have arrived!

According to reports most members' ballot papers arrived on Thursday. Now is the time to go round your school asking members to vote and talking to them about Pat's campaign.

Some ideas to convince people:
• Pat calls for a £2000 immediate increase for all teachers to recoup what we have lost through pay freeze, optional 1% increase and inflation.
• Pat thinks that the NUT should put in a new numerical pay claim every year and negotiate a pay increase at least in line with inflation each year using industrial action to get this claim, rather than waiting for the decision of the STPRB.
• Pat calls for a national contract for all teachers, including those in academies
• Pat argues that the union should be rooted in the workplace and thinks that each school should have an NUT branch, and branches should be organised across academy chains, so we can combat what the boss wants to impose on us on a daily basis
• Pat commits to staying on his teachers' salary if elected, he thinks union leaders should not be paid higher than the average workers' wage.
